Welcome to Kenwood Isles

Kenwood Isles Condominium is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for its diverse residents. KI is a community of active 55+ independent seniors who enjoy living near city amenities. It is in an ideal location in the midst of many Uptown businesses and near the Chain of Lakes.

It is conveniently located on the corner of 28th and Hennepin in the East Isles / Uptown neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Kenwood Isles is  just two blocks from Lake of the Isles and only one block from the Midtown Greenway bike trail. The location is great for accessing city attractions as well as walking, biking and canoeing.

Many neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, Lagoon Cinema, Walker Library, 3 grocery stores ( Lunds & Byerlys, Cub, Kowalskis), Walgreen's Drug store, Magers & Quinn book store, UPS and FedEx stores, Frattallone's
hardware store, churches and synagogue, the new Moxy Hotel, and many cultural activities are all within walking distance. The Allina Health Isles Clinic is in the same building as the KI condo. Lyn-Lake (with its bars, restaurants, and theaters), is less than 1 mile away.

Kenwood Isles has easy access to public transit. It is possible to travel via public transportation to almost any part of the city. Metro Transit buses normally stop on the corner, but due to roadwork on Hennepin Ave. the bus stops on Hennepin have been moved. Routes 6, 17, 21, 23, 612,114 (U of M) stop nearby. Routes 6 and 17 connect to downtown Minneapolis with.Target Field, Hennepin Avenue Theater District, and  light rail.
